The Tel Aviv-Jaffa municipality has approved a massive NIS 4.5 billion ($1.2 billion) waterfront redevelopment plan that will transform the southern Tel Aviv coastline. The project includes mixed-use residential and commercial towers, a new public park, upgraded promenade, and a dedicated cycling infrastructure network.

The development will add approximately 3,000 housing units, with 30% designated as affordable housing under the city's inclusionary zoning policy.

Design Vision

International architectural firm BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) has been selected as the lead designer. The firm's proposal features wave-inspired building forms and extensive green roofs, aiming to create "a neighborhood that feels like it grew from the sea."

Construction is expected to proceed in three phases over 10 years, with the first residential units available by 2030.
